One of our core beliefs was to help humanity find their hidden human potential. Whether that mean a scholastic achievement, a scientific breakthrough, an athletic hurdle, sharing smiles across the globe or any other great feat we could achieve.
What we noticed was there were millions across the world affected by challenges, stumbling blocks, bullying, ridicule, exclusion and hate.
We wanted to make a big change in those lives. We knew that every human is invaluable and had great potential. So, we challenged ourselves to be the light in the darkness, to be the smile that uplifted the frown.
Our first Hero Pack went out to a boy from Oregon, Hunter Cmelo, who was forced to eat his lunches alone, staring at a cardboard cut-out, by school staff. He was punished this way because he was often tardy, due to his mother’s unreliable automobile.
Once local news caught wind of this and social media was alerted, the call went out for help. People across the world rallied to show Hunter that he had value, he was worth it and he had friends, more friends than he could count, in places he had never even heard of.
Only Human® leapt at the opportunity to bring joy to a time of turbulence.
We gathered stickers, comics and a letter that told the boy he was a super hero, he had immeasurable wealth and not to let anyone tell him differently.
The impact was immediate, concerned mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles, friends and family members across the world reached out requesting Hero Packs for people that were facing similar circumstances.
So, we began shipping out dozens of packages across the world.
This is where the idea for the Hero Pack was born. And now, with our social responsibility and commitment to human kind, we are expanding the Hero Pack initiative. We want to send these out to people of all walks of life, of all ages, all places, because from time to time, we all could use a smile!
You help the cause when you make a purchase with us. Or you can choose to simply purchase one of these Hero Packs for a stranger and Pay It Forward.
Our hope is that these can be the seed that helps people on the road to finding happiness and self-worth.
In the meantime, do what you can, to leave positive impressions on others. The smile you share could actually save a life!
